Gibson Saddlers has been in the saddlery business for over 100 years and was founded by Colonel F.E. Gibson. Being a horseman himself, the Colonel realized right from the start the need for durable saddlery that not only looked good, but with stood the wear and tear of everyday use.

At first the colonel catered mainly for the local community, but as word spread people came from all over to purchase Gibson's Products. As time went on the business found itself moving to Newmarket, catering to the needs of the ever expanding racing industry. It is here that we remain!

In the early 1960's the business was taken over by a successful racehorse trainer known as Willie Stephenson and his Daughter Liz. It was at this time that the business really started to grow, supplying not only the general public but now finding itself filling orders for the Royal family. A service that we provide with great honour to this very day.

Gibson saddlery has grown and changed over the years. From it's humble beginnings in Great Grandsden to the world class saddlery business we all know today. However, there is one thing that has remained constant and that is our commitment to quality goods and answering our customers needs.

It was answering our customers needs that finally drove us to launch this web site, making our products more accessible, not only to Europe but the world. The inspiration behind this site was to make Gibson products more available, whilst celebrating our craft and sharing the love and enthusiasm that goes into every Gibson product with our customers.
